Discipleship- Dying to the Flesh

The biggest misconception in Christianity today, is the understanding of what it means to be saved. Therefor many are not, because their heart is not right, and their attempt to walk in righteousness is likened to the steps of a drunken man, his vision is fuzzy, his judgement impaired, and he sways from one side to another, until finally he collapses.
He is a SHAME.

You can not find TRUTH in church, and you can not find SPIRITUALITY in the Bible. You find TRUTH in the bible, and that truth leads you to Spirituality when you come to know Yahshua (Jesus the Christ) as your personal savior.

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."

So we see a need to know scripture, but without a personal relationship with Yahshua (Jesus) it is empty knowledge, because you have followed the written word, and not the LIVING word. This requires discipline and balance in ones own life. Balancing prayer and discipleship with the study of The Holy Scriptures. There are many preachers who do not care about following the example of Yahshua (Jesus) who can quote The Bible cover to cover, so they are filled with it's knowledge, but know not it's truth.

What is Repentance?

Repentance is the first step you take in your walk with Yahshua The Messiah (Jesus the Christ) If you do not come to Him with a broken spirit, ready to receive His Spirit, then your cup is full of selfishness, and can not hold His truth, because your cup is full of self. The closer your walk with Him, the more you will deny yourself. He is our master. I will list three scriptures and show you these Ways of the Spirit:

Romans 9:14-24

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”a]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[a] 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”b]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[b]18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
19 You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” 20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

So in this Verse you see that no matter what we carry out the will of Yahweh if his will is to use you for such. So He can use you to carry out wrath, and let you fall to the condemnation of your own evil, and still cause good to come from your life, even if to be a lesson to others, or you can follow Him and enjoy the fruits of the Spirit, either way you can not escape His Will. Even so, how Great is His Mercy!

Galatians 5:17

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

So if the Flesh gives up, the Spirit Prevails, and if the Spirit gives up the Flesh Prevails. This means if we do not remain spiritual creatures, we will be creatures of Lust, (of some sort)

The Only way to begin this journey is to die. You must die in the flesh, and be reborn in the spirit. This means you deny yourself and take up YOUR cross. This is the point of baptism. It is a symbol, and a commandment to complete it once one is saved. In baptism you are put under water, this represents burial, then you are lifted out, this represents the Resurrection. Yahshua died for the sins of mankind, and rose again to have overcome death, so that in Him we too would overcome death, for in Him is eternal life.

Our Basic Statement of Doctrine,

Note Faith can not be measured by works alone, that is death, and neither is one justified by the Law. Nor is this Document perfect, Yahweh is Perfect, Yahshua is Perfect, we only strive to preserve the things which He has given us, and to bring back fruitful worship. This Document isn't made to condemn others, nor to Justify ourselves to a specified "Sect", this document was created to clarify truth, as today false doctrine abounds. This is to prevent falsehood, and unrighteous duplication of this ministry, it is our will that many take this message and reach others, so long as they do not depart from the faith in doing so.

Our Basic Statement of Doctrine

We are Children Who Love and Fear their Creator, Yahweh- יהוה -(The God of Abraham) We Believe in spreading the Gospel of Yahshua- יהושע -The Messiah (Jesus the Christ), John 3:16 - Romans 10:9, Yahshua said, If you love me, Keep my Commandments,John 14:15. We follow Old Testament and New Testament Law, as these are the last days, the bible tells us Yahweh will call forth His Remnant, and they will restore Biblical truth, and this remnant follows the commandments of Yahweh, and hold the testimony of Yahshua. We are not saved by the law, nor are we justified by it, but rather we are called to Faith through Grace, ONLY through the shed blood of Yahshua the Messiah, and through HIM ONLY is salvation. But the bible defines sin as transgression of the Laws of Yahweh- see 1 John 3:4. Our goal is to provide an active ministry unto the world, with no cost, and no catch. We will give you a flyer that will lead them to our Before The Harvest Site, where they can learn more and more about the truth of Yahshua! Time is short, and we do have a belief system that must be agreed upon in order to allow others to use our name to spread this Gospel (Because today their are many gospels foreign to The Sacred Scriptures. So because of this we have developed a Statement of Doctrine, it is as Follows:

BEFORE THE HARVEST- Remnant Believers

Statement of Doctrine for membership of Before The Harvest-Truth Restoration Fellowship and all who strive to live for Yahweh in Grace and Obedience.

We are 100% non profit, and do NOT accept donations, neither do we allow our members to collect donations in our name, or on our behalf. If you have a strong spirit to give, then find those who are in need in your community, give what you can, and spread the word, for time is short.

The Brethren in the Messiah who are members of Before The Harvest present this document as their statement of doctrine. Widespread disorganization and confusion have been rampant during the past years in the Sacred Name movement and in general Christianity. A statement of doctrine such as this has become necessary in order to define for the interested inquirers after scriptural truth a framework of the sound doctrines that are contained in the inspired Scriptures, the Word of Almighty Yahweh.

We hereby present this document as the basis of faith on which we all can stand, and on which we can base a unity of purpose. We believe that this statement of doctrine presents this basic faith which was once and for all time delivered to the sanctified believers, clearly, concisely, and briefly. We believe that this statement of doctrine will be instrumental in uniting us all under one banner as the body of the Messiah, and will enable us to give a ready testimony of our faith to all who seek truth, 1 Peter 3:15.

| The Basis of Our Faith- The Affirmations |
l We affirm that in order to interpret the inspired Scriptures correctly, we must use the Old Testament as a basis for our faith. We must therefore interpret the New Testament through the teachings of the Old, recognizing complete harmony in the Word, thereby achieving sound doctrine, John 10:35. In the New Testament we find that repeated reference is made to the law, the Psalms, and the prophets: in other words, the Word of Almighty Yahweh, Matt. 4:4; John 5:39; Luke 24:44-46; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Isaiah 8:16, 20; Acts 17:11. The Old Testament Scriptures saw partial fulfillment in the accounts that are recorded in the New, while they will find complete fulfillment in the years that will follow the Second Coming of our Savior.

2We affirm that the Messiah is ONE with Yahweh and has come in human form as the man recognized as the Savior in the New Testament Scriptures, that He pre-existed with the Father, John 16:28-30; Psalm 2; Micah 5:2; John 17:5; Phil. 2:5-8; that He was born of a virgin, Matt. 1:18, 23; Luke 1:26-38; that He lived a sinless life, 1 Peter 2:22; that through His death upon the tree of Calvary we may have atonement for our sins, Isaiah 53; Hebrews 9; and that He rose again the third day, Matt. 12:40; 1 Cor. 15:1-8; to give us a hope of a resurrection also, Romans 5:6-12; 1 John 5:9-13. Our Messiah is Also part of our father revealed to us, They are one. Yahweh Made Flesh. Two yet ONE.

3 We affirm that there is one Almighty Heavenly Father who is above all, and to whom we owe our reverence and worship, Deut. 6:4, 13; Matt. 4:10; 1 Cor. 8:4-6.

4 We affirm that it is important blessing to our walk of salvation that we discover and accept the revealed, personal Name of our Heavenly Father YAHWEH and the Name of His Son, our Savior YAHSHUA the MESSIAH and to teach the same to those who are unaware of this truth. We affirm also that the most accurate transliteration of these Names from the Hebrew into the English is by the spellings employed above, Exodus 3:14-15; Psalm 68:4; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 42:8; Isaiah 52:6; Acts 4:12. WE do NOT teach condemnation for one not knowing of this truth, as Yahweh hears not translation, but knows the heart. He rightly Divides good and evil, and knows you from the womb.

5 We affirm that as obedient children it is necessary to keep all 10 commandments! THESE ARE UPHELD BY YAHSHUA THE MESSIAH HIMSELF THAT IF WE LOVE HIM WE WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS! John 14:15, and we also affirm the importance of the statutes, and judgments (except the ritual and animal sacrifice laws) which the Heavenly Father gave to Israel to make them a separate people, Lev. 20:7-8; Deut. 6:6-9, 25; Deut. 7:6-11; Matt. 5:17-20; Romans 7:12. It is now possible through the Holy Spirit to keep these commandments by faith for our salvation, Eph. 2:8-10; James 2:17-20. We now keep a spiritual sacrifice rather than animal sacrifices, meal, and drink offerings, Hebrews 13:15-16; 1 Peter 2:5; Romans 12:1; Phil. 4:18. But we make no claim to be saved or Holy through the means of the Statutes and Judgments but rather seek to restore this true worship. Following the laws are their own blessing indeed, but salvation comes from the shed blood of Yahshua the Messiah. BUT IF YOU LOVE HIM, YOU WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!!!!!!

6 We affirm that in order to be free from sin, a person must accept the shed blood of Yahshua the Messiah as his atonement and live in submission to the will of our Heavenly Father by keeping His laws, Micah 6:6-8; 1 John 1:7; 1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26-31; Eph. 1:6-7. Yahweh has extended grace (unmerited kindness or mercy) to all who keep His law, Rom. 3:24. Grace is not license to do as you please, Jude 4.

7 We affirm that the Holy Spirit is the mighty power from the Heavenly Father and the Messiah dwelling within us so that we may have the ability and strength to bring our lives into a state of perfection pleasing to our Heavenly Father, John 14:15-27. We find the Trinitarian doctrine to be foreign to the inspired Scriptures, There is One God, Yahweh, who came to us in the Flesh, and The Holy Spirit is HIS spirit. The Holy Spirit is imparted to the obedient believers by the laying on of hands of the elders of the Assemblies of Yahweh after baptism, Acts 19:1-6; Acts 8:14-24; 1 Timothy 4:14; Acts 2:38; Acts 5:32.

8 We affirm that sin is the transgression of the law of Yahweh, Lev. 4:2, 13, 27; 1 John 3:4.

9 We affirm that water baptism is a necessary act following repentance, Acts 2:38; Matt. 3:13-17; that this baptism is immersion in water, backward, one time, into the Name of Yahshua the Messiah; Rom. 6:3-6; John 5:43; John 14:26; that this baptism symbolically indicates an inner cleansing, Romans 6:7-23; 1 Cor. 10:1-10. We also affirm that baptism, except in rare instances, is a necessary step in receiving the Holy Spirit, 1 Pet. 3:21.

10 We affirm that the weekly seventh-day Sabbath (commonly called Saturday) is upheld in both Old and New Testament Scriptures, Exodus 20:8-11; Mark 2:27- 28; Luke 4:16; Hebrews 4:4, 9. The Sabbath is a sign between Yahweh and His people, Ex. 31:12-17.

11 We affirm that the Passover Memorial Supper in this New Testament era is the annual observance of our Savior's death. The Passover Memorial is to be observed on the evening of the 14th day of the scriptural month of Abib, soon after sundown, at the commencement of the day, Exodus 12:3-14; Numbers 28:16; 1 Cor. 5:7-8; 1 Cor. 11:23.

13 The Passover observance utilizes the emblems that are to be partaken in this New Testament era. The unleavened bread (matzoth) is the symbol of the broken body of our Savior, 1 Cor. 10:16; Exodus 23:18. The symbol of our Savior's shed blood is understood to be the fruit of the vine (Heb. tirosh, 'asis-grape juice), Matt. 26:27-29; Isaiah 65:8-9; Deut. 32:14. We find the Passover day to necessitate the use of unleavened bread, but it is not a Sabbath of rest, Deut. 16:3-4. It is the preparation for the feast, the day before the annual Sabbath, Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:31, 42; Exodus 12:18; Exodus 34:25. Foot washing precedes the taking of the emblems, John 13.

14 We affirm that adherence to the law of clean meats in Lev. 11 and Deut. 14 remains in effect and binding in our era, and that it is important to our physical health, 2 Cor. 6:16-18. We conclude that we were created by Yahweh our Father, and He knows what is healthy for us, also we site Mark 5:1-20 when Yahshua cast out the Demon Legion, and he asked "Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them." This makes a point of showing us how pork in particular is not just unclean, but is spiritually unclean.

15..We affirm that in order to preach this true doctrine of salvation around the world, every member of the body of the Messiah is obligated by scriptural law to tithe (10 percent of his increase) to the work of Yahweh (NOT US! WE RECEIVE NO PROFITS!), This means YOU in YOUR relationship with Yahweh, should pray and ask Him in what way you should give to His kingdom, whether it be to the homeless/children’s hospitals, Disaster Relief, or what ever HE leads you to do. Prov. 3:9. Mall 3:8-12; Lev. 27:30-33; Matt. 23:23. , Deut. 14:22-26, , Deut. 14:27-29, Deut. 26:12-17. These all deal with Tithing, you do so as Yahweh commands your spirit, and if someone from our group EVER asks for money, then you know they are not from our group!

We know that no one will jump right in to understanding all of this, but we strive to cling to what Yahweh has given us, and to revive what Satan has taken from us. One step at a time we will restore Truth and True Worship. And do not stress, of “OH HAVE I NOT DONE THE FEAST?” We are under grace, but we should strive to better ourselves daily. The laws are not here to condemn, but to preserve, these lead to better health and better understanding of Yahweh’s word, and Humble behavior.

Knowing the Character and will of Yahweh for our lives, means knowing His Son, Him as He revealed Himself in the Flesh, Yahshua the Messiah, and a great way to understand that character, is to know the "Be" Attitudes

The "Be Attitudes"
from the Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5:3-16

Blessed are the poor in spirit:

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thrist after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye,
when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Ye are the salt of the earth:
but if they salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world.
A city that is set on an hill cannnot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel,
but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We do not agree with mankind’s traditions over what Yahweh has commanded us, we stand on this, whether Law or Church dictates that which is contradictory to what Yahweh has commanded, neither shall we conform to except the Will of Yahweh which we become so that we may glorify Him and be found without blame in the day of Judgment. The Old Laws reveal truth to come, and the New Laws are the Old laws made simple by walking in the spirit. remember what Yahshua said:

Thou shalt love Yahweh your Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." [Matt22:37-40]

Below are proper dates and observances from the scriptures: NOTE: You are not Saved or condemned by these, but rather we are ONLY saved by Grace given through the Shed Blood of Yahshua the Messiah.

We affirm that obedience to the commandments of Almighty Yahweh includes observing and keeping holy His commanded observances of Leviticus 23 and Numbers 28-29.

We affirm that the Feast of Unleavened Bread is observed from the 15th to the 21st (inclusive) of the month of Abib; during this period we eat unleavened bread with our meals, Lev. 23:6, while symbolically cleansing ourselves of everything that corrupts, meaning false doctrine (teaching) which leads to sin, 1 Cor. 5:6-8; Matt. 16:12; Mark 8:14-15; Luke 12:1. The first and last days of this observance are to be kept as holy Sabbaths and convocations for the worship and praise of our Heavenly Father, Exodus 12:15-20; Numbers 28:17-25; Acts 20:6-7.

We affirm that the Feast of Shavuoth (Pentecost) is to be observed seven weeks after Passover, beginning our count with the day following the weekly Sabbath falling on Passover or during the week of Unleavened Bread, Joshua 5:10-12, NEB. Shavuoth (Feast of Weeks) is always observed on the first day of the week, Lev. 23:9-21; Acts 2. We find that it was the day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the New Testament assembly and was also the time when Israel ratified the covenant law with Yahweh given to Israel at Mt. Sinai.

We affirm that we shall observe the Feast of Trumpets in anticipation of our Savior's return from heaven for His bride, the assembly, Lev. 23:24-25; Numbers 10:1-10; Numbers 29:1; 1 Thess. 4:16.

We affirm that the fast of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is to be observed as a memorial of our Savior's atonement for us on the tree of Calvary. This day is to be observed as a strict Sabbath and fast day, Lev. 23:27-32; Acts 27:9.

We affirm that the Feast of Tabernacles is to be observed in this New Testament era as a preview of the Kingdom of Yahweh and the Millennium, Lev. 23:34-39; John 7:1-39; Zech. 14:16-21. The Feast of Tabernacles is a feast of seven days, the first day being a holy convocation, while the eighth day, called the Last Great Day, is to be observed as a holy convocation also, John 7:37.

We affirm that the Scriptures teach anointing with oil in the Name of Yahweh and in the Name of Yahshua the Messiah for healing of illness. This anointing service should be done by at least two elders if possible, James 5:13-20; Ex. 15:26.

Thank you for reviewing our Basic Statement of Doctrine. Additionally we would like to say that, WE STAND FOR EVERY WORD OF THE BIBLE TO BE TRUE AND EVERY LAW TO BE FOLLOWED!!!!! And that all laws and Observances and Judgments cannot be covered in this document, but is Upheld by Before The Harvest-The Remnant Believers in Yahshua The Messiah!
