Ravening Wolves

Matthew 7:15
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves".

If you are seeking truth in this world, you would think the first place you would stop looking for it is T.V. never the less more Christians are indoctrinated by T.V evangelists than any other false prophet media available! A good rule of thumb is you are not likely to find a humble teacher on television, and Humble is where truth comes from. You will never find truth in money and success, these are stumbling blocks laid out for those who seek for themselves, and NOT for the glory of Almighty Yahweh! Let's read the whole chapter that includes the above verse, shall we?
I will provide Commentary in red as we go.

Matthew 7

1Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

This is to say (so that we are clear) That when you judge others, the way YOU judge them, is the way YAHWEH judges YOU. So should some one say, "You are going to hell", this is actually forbidden, you condemn the action, the sin, not the person. So instead calling some one who is a homosexual or a thief a name, or showing them hatred, instead you should condemn the practice, and show them the way to Yahshua the Messiah. Using a hate filled dialog is not only a pointless effort, it is also a bad witness for Yahshua. Instead show them the truth, if they are called they will accept it, if they are not, they won't. If they are committing sin and by that sin are faced with the Judgement of Death, then pointing your finger at them and condemning them, and using hateful speech will not save their life, but most assuredly will add bitterness to their heart. Does this mean when we prach we should NOT condemn Homosexuality, Abortion, ect? NO! We must stand against the sin, hate the sin, fight the sin. But we must love the sinner, help the sinner, and lead the sinner.

3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

You see the wrong (or sin) in others, but yet don't examine your own life. In other words if you spent

more time living the word and preaching the word, you wouldn't have time to condemn others, and your example alone could lead others to repentance and a new life in Yahshua the Messiah.

You can not help others in their spiritual walk, if you struggle in your own walk, and if you judge others, you are struggling.

6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,

neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Treasure what is Holy, don't profit off it. Also, don't allow that which is Holy-Truth-The Word, become commercialized, like catchy T-Shirts or W.W.J.D bracelets , Such things make the word seem cheap to others. It is a shame to merchandise The Kingdom of Heaven.

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Many confused and Dead in the Spirit preachers use this verse for what I call "Prosperity Gospel".

I assure you Yahweh doesn't care about the make of your car or the size of your T.V, unless of course you have it in abundance and have lost sight of His purpose for your life, then I can tell you He will (Knowing YOU) either take it away one day to make you focus on Him, or if you will not hold His truth, He will give you to it, let it consume you, and let you die in it. This verse speaks of those who seek spiritual knowledge and growth. Only someone caught up in the flesh would see this any other way.

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Do for others what you want them to do for you, other wise known as "The Golden Rule".

13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Many other doctrines, and ways to heaven are evil and a lie from Satan, there is only one way and only ONE name under the heavens, please read on.

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Here I will have to interject scripture in order for the reader to understand John 3:16 "

For Yahweh so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". This verse is one of the single most important verses in the entire Holy Bible, and is probably the one the world hears the least about. This is the only way to eternal life, all except this, is death. Interestingly enough, if we read on with this verse (like you should always do) we see that IT DIRECTLY RELATES TO THIS SPECIFIC STUDY AND VERSE!

Let's read on:

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

>Here we see clearly that Yahshua the Messiah Himself was sent with a message of Redemption, not Condemnation, not a message of "How to get to Hell", but rather a message on "How to go to Heaven". Lets read on:

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Before continuing with the next verse there is yet another I must interject, this is also a good opportunity for you to see how ALL of the Word of Yahweh Connects.

Lets skip ahead in John a little (notice this verse is still in John, you just have to read the whole book, John 14:26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. This is what happens to a person who is reborn (which we will get into in a moment) They are given The Holy Sprit which will convict them according to Yahweh's Righteousness, this is what will change them from their ways, The Holy Spirit, not passing Judgement. lets continue with our main lesson shall we?

15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Judging others, condemning with hellfire, pointing fingers, and doing all manner of things that turn people away from Yahweh due to misrepresenting His True Word is being a false prophet, including altering the scriptures, or others understanding of those scriptures. The thing about false prophets, is they always give themselves away.

16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Those who teach this evil, are destroyed in Hellfire.

20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

See Matthew 5:17-20 covered in our Blog "Understanding the Scriptures". To understand what His will is.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Iniquity is Sin, Disobedience-Lawlessness, again see our Blog "Understanding the Scriptures for more detail, or just go and read Matthew 5:17-20

24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Those Who teach otherwise are as the scribes mentioned in Matthew 5:17-20

False Prophets, RAVENING WOLVES!
